Fly to Egypt from $775 with Delta and see a Wonder of the Ancient World
Growing up, we learned about how Egypt is the Cradle of Civilization because of the advancements made by the Ancient Egyptians. How many of us had a history class that involved spelling our name in ancient hieroglyphics? I bet it’s a lot. We all know that the Nile is the longest river in the world. We’ve all heard about the magnificence of the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.
If you’re into something a bit more exotic, now is a great time to fly out and spend a week in Cairo with flights from Delta and SkyTeam starting at $775. Here’s an example trip departing on October 19th and returning October 27th.
The journey itself is pretty long (more than 24 hours in transit) and somewhat brutal (2 stops – Detroit and Paris), but not too much of that time is wasted in layover.
And while the price is pretty good, when you calculate the price per mile, it ends up being around 6 cents per mile — which is only on the better side of average. However, really great flights prices to Egypt direct from Minneapolis don’t show up that often, so for a bucket list item, this is pretty good.
